ForgeCertify is a rigorous, open-source test suite that measures geometry kernel accuracy, boolean correctness, NURBS precision, and physical property fidelity — across any kernel, any OS. Run the suite. Publish your results. Let the numbers speak.
12 test categories. Every one mapped to real engineering failure modes, not synthetic benchmarks.
Union, difference, intersection — verified against reference geometry to sub-micron tolerance.
Curve and surface interpolation accuracy, knot insertion stability, degree elevation fidelity.
Triangle aspect ratio, normal consistency, watertightness, tessellation deviation from analytic surfaces.
Volume, surface area, centroid, and moment of inertia validated against closed-form analytical solutions.
STEP/IGES/STL import → export → re-import fidelity. Geometry must survive the trip.
Feature graph rebuild accuracy after parameter changes. Topology must remain stable and correct.
Mate constraint solving, DOF computation, interference detection across multi-body assemblies.
Gap closure, normal flipping, degenerate edge removal — kernel must fix what it's handed.
Hex8 / tet4 mesh quality for finite element analysis. Element distortion within solver tolerances.
Watertight boundary surfaces, consistent normals, and minimum face size requirements for CFD meshing.
Results reported per kernel per OS. macOS, Linux, and Windows — you know exactly what you're shipping.
Test suite and pass/fail thresholds are public. Any kernel can be submitted. Any result can be reproduced.
Three steps from your kernel to a published certificate.
Install the ForgeCertify runner on macOS or Linux. Point it at your kernel via the adapter interface. The suite runs in full — no cherry-picking categories.
The runner produces a signed JSON result file. Every test: passed, skipped (missing capability), or failed — with full diagnostic output.
Submit your signed result file. Results are verified and published to the public ledger. A certificate is issued for the exact kernel version and OS tested.
ForgeCertify was created by SKYFIRE Forge because existing test suites weren't rigorous enough for what ForgeCAD needed. We made it open and independent so the whole industry could use it. ForgeCAD's own kernel is certified under the same suite, the same thresholds, and the same public methodology as every other kernel — including our competitors.
We still don't think any single organization can anticipate every meaningful failure mode. If you've hit a case the suite doesn't cover — submit it. If it's accepted, every kernel that claims certification has to pass it. Including ours.
Download the runner, run the suite, and publish your results to the public ledger.
